Your Teacher has 20 years experience
teaching English as a second language, has
completed numerous TESL courses including
that of the British Council Cambridge
English School in Japan, and also has a
broad background of study in other areas
ranging from environmental studies,
international law, and medical genetics to
comparative culture, sociology and
interdisciplinary behavioural science.
She is also an accomplished
singer-songwriter, illustrator, and a long
time peace, environment, and justice
activist.
Next class starts: Wednesday, OCTOBER 8th,
6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
This class runs on a weekly basis for four
weeks on Wednesday and culminates with an
intensive weekend in Oliver B.C. at
Orofino Creek Farm on Friday, October
31st, and Saturday and Sunday, November 1st
& 2nd.
Departure for Oliver is 12:00 noon on
Friday, October 31st. The van will leave
from Vancouver, and can pick up people at
convenient points along the way.
By the end of the weekend intensive you will
have prepared, in English, an introduction
of yourself, a speech on a topic of great
interest to you, a jointly created play
including jointly created songs, a diary,
and a proposal for your future.
The play will be performed informally on the
last day of the weekend intensive at the
retreat centre in Oliver, and then once
again two weeks later in Vancouver, for
family, friends, etc. (Date to be decided
after the weekend.)
The all-inclusive cost of the class and
weekend intensive is $500.00. This includes
a total of 24 hours of instruction,
transportation to and from Oliver, two
nights accommodation at Orofino Creek Farm,
and 6 meals. Friday Dinner; Saturday
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner; Sunday Breakfast,
Lunch.

the deadline for participation in this class
is October 8th. Your payment must be made in
full prior to this date.
